Your wedding day is all about you and your partner (of course!) but keep a thought for your bridesmaids.
They helped you hand-make those invitations and table decorations.
On the day, they’ll have been up earlier than you probably – making sure everything is in place and perfect for you.
They’re going to be on their feet all day helping you out and keeping your drunken friends away from your in-laws.
And (whether they like it or not) they’re going to be in dozens of photos too, just for you, so you can have all those gorgeous memories of the big day in ten years time.
So, let’s just take a second to congratulate our bridesmaids on being awesome. And whilst we’re at it – let’s make sure they get to wear a beautiful dress for the big day too – because, hey, they deserve it.
One of my favourite brands at the moment for bridesmaids dresses has to be Pin Up Girl Clothing, they’re a vintage-inspired clothing brand based in the US (but don’t worry they ship to the UK too) and they stock all sizes from a Small to a 4X.
The big variety in sizes is one of the reasons they make my ‘Editor’s Picks’ this week because I don’t know about you, but I’ve never known all bridesmaids in a wedding to be the same size or shape. Pin Up Girl Clothing ensure that no matter what your size, you can still be included in the dress shopping fun, and you can still wear the same style dress as everyone else. Which is kind of lovely.
Oh and did we mention the styles are literally gorgeous? Here are a few of our favourites…
Blair Lips and Roses: $148
For any floral or vintage themed wedding, this dress is heaven. The rouched bust, the cinched in waist, and the flared skirt, is feminine, summery and so damn pretty.
Want a classic dress shape with a fun and flirty pattern? Take a look as this beautiful number!
Lesley-Ann Dress in Red: $260
Want a traditional, flouncy, bouncy bridesmaid dress, but still want it to be sexy with a little bit of attitude? This is literally the perfect option. It’s comes in another colour too though – see below!
A low-key pastel version of the red dress above. This would be ideal for light summery wedding themes, I particularly love the blue tulle on this one that sits above pink and purple, it makes it really unique.
Want your girls in something simple yet sexy? This dress in understated but equally eye-catching and pretty. The simplicity of this dress just means you can add more things to it such as elaborate heels, accessories or floral bouquets.
Ava Dress (in Plum and Blush): $114
This is one of my favourite dresses on the Pin Up Girl Clothing website, and one I think would look simply stunning on any body shape. The wrap bust line is gorgeously flattering – but it’s the wrap skirt that really makes this one a winner. Whether your bridesmaid love showing her tummy off, or is conscious of it – this dress flatters and compliments in all the right places. It comes in a variety of colours too – so I’m sure you can find a dress to suit your colour scheme or theme!
Ava Swing Dress: $120
Similar to the original Ava dress above, but with a flared swing skirt. A nice variety if you like the swing skirt more than the wrapped style. Lovely!
Vivien Dress in Blush: $120
This dress is more modern than some of the other and would look beautiful in-line with a modern themed wedding in a sleek and sophisticated setting. I’m a big fan of the asymmetrical sleeve too – beautiful!
Looking for a bright summery option for your ladies? Well this dress is simply stunning and is just that! The halterneck is great for big busty ladies (nice and supportive) and the waist tie is beautiful too – as it pulls you in in all the right places.
